No tech-speak required—just follow the flow. If you’re unsure, just leave as a TBC and let the vendor decide. But the more information you give, the less chance of surprises later.

Quick start

You know your show. ShowSpec helps you capture it in a format production companies can quote from — no AV background needed.

  1. Sign in with your email

    We send a one-time code. No password to remember.

  2. Work through the 8 sections

    Your details, the show overview, each room, production needs, logistics, crew welfare, then export. It saves as you go.

  3. Not sure? Leave it as TBC

    You don’t need every answer on day one. Mark what’s still to be confirmed and add context in the comments boxes.

  4. Download your Production Rider

    On the final section, export as PDF, Excel, or Word and send it to your chosen vendor.

  5. Come back anytime

    Sign in with the same email to amend your brief. Saved briefs are kept for 14 days — export a copy before then.
